Watercress Growing in Containers
A sun-loving plant that grows naturally along most waterways, watercress offers a peppery addition to your salads and other raw foods. While their flavor varies throughout the harvesting stages, it’s best during the cooler part of the year before the plant fully blooms. As the watercress blooms, it loses some of its flavor and potency.
You can find annual, fast-growing watercress, like Garden Cress or Peppergrass, as well as perennial watercress growing in pots that will last for multiple seasons, like Wintercress and Big Leaf Cress.
